Discovering what it takes to say "NO" to spending "YES" to saving

PROGRESS

Hello everyone! Welcome to Chicky Finance! I started this blog in mid January after reading several PF blogs; I got so motivated that I decided to share my "not so smart" mistakes and hope that someone else can learn from my miscalculations at the same time witness my journey of becoming debt free! More

Quick Note

Since I am at work right at this moment, I can only write a quick post..First of all, yesterday when I visited ATM, I noticed that my mom(she lives in Europe) deposited $400 on my checking account for my birthday! Sweet! ( my bd is on may 13th) $400 will go directly towards CC#4 which will bring down the balance $2,102.

Another good news is interest rate for my car loan is 4.75% fixed !!!! Previously it was 6.75% fixed and under my husband's name. We decided to put the title and the loan under my name which lowered our interest rate for 2 points. Yay!

I'll have to remember to come back on the 13th :-)

Your mom's very sweet to have sent that money :-)

Congrats on the lower interest! 2% lower will really help!
